Press Release

RE:Vision Effects, Inc. releases ReelSmart(TM) Motion Blur for use in Nothing Real’s Shake, Avid Systems and Discreet Systems.

RE:Vision Effects has released Shake, Spark and AVX plugins of ReelSmart Motion Blur Version 1.8 . ReelSmart Motion Blur applies more natural-looking motion blur to a video sequence by automatically tracking every pixel and applying blur in the amount and direction of the caclulated movement. RE:Vision?s tracking technology is at the heart of ReelSmart Motion Blur, so there is no handwork involved. Users can add as little or as much blurring as is needed, and can even remove motion blur. ReelSmart Motion Blur can be used as a post process for 3D animation, eliminating the need for unnecessarily long render times to calculate motion blur in a 3D system.

ReelSmart Motion Blur is now available for $134.95 in the following forms:

AVX 1.5 plugin, for use in

* Windows: Symphony 2.0 or later, Media Composer 9.0 or later, XPress 3.0 or later, XPress DV 1.0 or later.
* Macintosh: MediaComposer 10 or later, XPress 4.0 or later. PowerPC machines only.

Spark plugin for Discreet systems that support Sparks version 2.5 or later:

Of course, ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.8 is still available as an After Effects plugin, which works in Adobe’s After Effects (3.1, versions 4.0 and 4.1), Apple’s Final Cut Pro 1.2.5, Pinnacle Systems’ Commotion, Eyeon’s Digital Fusion and Discreet’s combustion*.
