RE:Vision Effects today released ReelSmartTM Motion Blur version 2.0, ReelSmartTM Shade/Shape 1.2.1 and Video GoghTM 2.6. All updates are After Effects compatible plugins for use in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere 6.0, Apple Final Cut Pro, Discreet combustion and Pinnacle Commotion.

ReelSmart Motion Blur automatically adds more natural-looking motion blur to a sequence. RE:Vision Effects tracking technology is at the heart of ReelSmart Motion Blur, so there is no handwork involved. Users can add as little or as much blurring as you need and even remove motion blur. In version 2.0, RE:Vision has responded to customer requests by adding the following features:

* ReelSmart Motion Blur now provides control over how far pixels are tracked, which can greatly reduce the improper blurring that can occur when objects in a scene pass over each other.
* The ReelSmart Motion Blur Pro version 2.0 now supports foreground and background separation using a specified mask. The two layers are tracked, interpolated and blurred separately. ReelSmart Motion Blur uses proprietary filling and tracking techniques when working on the background layer, even when it is obscured by the foreground!

Video Gogh, which turns video into animated paintings, has been updated to version 2.6, which reduces popping in the painted animations when animating brush sizes.

ReelSmart Shade/Shape, which turns 2D elements into 3D rendered artwork, has been updated to version 1.2.1, which fixes a bug causing the Macintosh version to render black frames in Premiere 6.0.
