RE:Vision Effects, Inc. announces ReelSmart Motion Blur, version 1.5.
RE:Vision Effects announces ReelSmart Motion Blur Version 1.5, an After Effects Plugin that applies more natural-looking motion blur to a video sequence by automatically tracking every pixel. RE:Vision?s tracking technology is at the heart of ReelSmart Motion Blur, so there is no handwork involved. Users can add as little or as much blurring as is needed. For 3D animation ReelSmart Motion Blur can be used as a post process, eliminating the need for unnecessarily long render times to calculate motion blur in a 3D system.
Version 1.5 has the following changes from previous versions:
* ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.5 conforms to the After Effects 3.1 plug-in standard. This means ReelSmart Motion Blur now works with After Effects 3.1, 4.0 and 4.1.
* On the Macintosh, ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.5 automatically detects the presence of a G3 processor machine (iMac, G3 and G4 machines) and runs an optimized version for a 20% increase in performance. If no G3 is present, the standard version is used.
ReelSmart Motion Blur is available for both Macintosh and Windows and is priced at just $89.95. The plug-in currently works in After Effects 3.1 (and later) and Commotion 2.0 (and later). It works in Final Cut Pro, but users should read the restrictions of features on the RE:Vision web site. However, it does not work with the current version of Discreet’s effect* due an anomaly in their implementation of After Effects plug-ins.
Demo versions of ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.5 are available on the RE:Vision Effects website, http://www.revisionfx.com.
